Family Addition

My twelve-year-old daughter and a friend of hers found two puppies (not yet even weaned) abandoned on the RR tracks this afternoon. They seem to be pug/beagle mix. This is good. It's small enough, hearty enough, smart enough and has short enough hair to make a suitable pet for my home. So we have adopted one and will name him Gunther.

The other puppy will have a home in the lives of my daughter's friend.

Single Again

There has been a lot of drama in the life of my lady friend of late. As a consequence, she has decided that she is not capable of concentrating the necesary effort on a relationship at this time. A decision that I understand completely. We are going to remain friends, and in time we may rekindle our fledgling romance.

On the other hand, this frees me up to explore other possibilities, or (should she choose) it opens the door for my beloved to return. Yes, I would still take her back. I miss her and love her dearly.

We'll see where the road takes me.

There will be no commenting on this thread because some assholes can't be civilized.
