Next; Trees Banned From Arbor Day Festivities

Bush bans protests at military funerals
President Bush, marking Memorial Day with a speech paying tribute to fighting men and women lost in war, signed into law Monday a bill that keeps demonstrators from disrupting military funerals.
Ironically, this bill was brought about because of the far right. It is in response to those who attend funerals to push their belief that military deaths are retribution from God for allowing homosexuals in the military.

But even so, as ridiculous as this position is, I disagree with banning their protests. Just charge them with trespassing.

Somehow it just seems wrong to me to bar free speech at a funeral of someone who ostensibly died defending that very freedom.
