Monday Morning Idiots: Kerfuffle Addition

I'm so sick of seeing hte word kerfuffle. Anyway, the prize once again goes to blogs for Bush, although it could have gone to just about any right wing blogger who said that the Plame related indictment of Libby for perjury vindicates Rove of any wrong doing. But I am giving it for this post, and in particular this snippet from the post.
UPDATE: From Fitzgerald's press conference:
Q: Did Libby know whether Valerie Wilson's identity was covert?
A: ...We have not made any allegation that Libby knowingly/intentionally outed a covert agent.
Game, set, match, lefties - there was no underlying crime.
Ignorance of the law is normally no excuse, but it is especially no excuse when you take a comment on the law out of context to prove a point that was proven false earlier in the same comment.
I can't give you answers on what we know and don't know, other than what's charged in the indictment.

It's not because I enjoy being in that position. It's because the law is that way. I actually think the law should be that way.

We can't talk about information not contained in the four corners of the indictment.
Just because outing an agent is not contained in this indictment does not mean that it won't be in a future indictment. So game, set, match my ass, righties. Besides, this is about justice, not partisan politics anyway, you hack.

By the way, hack, you disected that quote pretty good. Here's the whole statement (My emphasis):
QUESTION: Can you say whether or not you know whether Mr. Libby knew that Valerie Wilson's identity was covert and whether or not that was pivotal at all in your inability or your decision not to charge under the Intelligence Identity Protection Act?

FITZGERALD: Let me say two things. Number one, I am not speaking to whether or not Valerie Wilson was covert. And anything I say is not intended to say anything beyond this: that she was a CIA officer from January 1st, 2002, forward.

I will confirm that her association with the CIA was classified at that time through July 2003. And all I'll say is that, look, we have not made any allegation that Mr. Libby knowingly, intentionally outed a covert agent.

We have not charged that. And so I'm not making that assertion.
Comments:
Hey, we're on the same page. I said something similar about the latest rightwing talking point, the gist of which is: there's been no crime because there's been no crime alleged in an indictment for obfuscation of said crimes!

Just when you think they cannot get any lower, or more obtuse...

The liberals are broken hearted that Rove was not indicted. They were SO sure he was guilty! Gee, even Libby was only charged with not remembering who he talked to when years ago! How many folks can? Sorry, lefties! You can't win in the ballot box, so you have to lie, cheat, falsely accuse, and all sorts of dirty tricks, and hope there are enough stupid people in the country to fall for it. Well, you do have the press working with you. but, from what I've seen, they have been losing readers in tremendous amounts, while the conservative TV and radio shows are growing by leaps and bounds.

In case you hadn't heard, Fitz ain't done with our boy Karl. Also, the dems stomped the Goopers in the latest elections. Even Arnie is licking his wounds.

But you keep right on telling yourself that all is well in neo-con land. It'll make the shock when you guys lose in '08 that much sweeter for the rest of us.
