Worst President Ever!
Bush Weighs Deploying Guard to U.S. Border
President Bush, trying to build momentum for an overhaul of the nation's immigration laws, is considering plans to shore up the Mexican border with National Guard troops paid for by the federal government, according to senior administration officials.Hmmm? So Bush is considering a military solution to a political problem. Well, it's not like this is the first time that's happened.

And it will do little good. According to Arizona's govener, the Guard has no authority to arrest anyone. So all they can do is watch and then call the authorities. Its also a nightmare to pull Guardsmen from Wisconsin and take them to the border, have them patrol for 2 to 3 weeks... and then send them home. And that is exactly what will happen, rotating guard members from around the country down there for 2 to 3 weeks. Thats a crapload of money spent just in transporting them back and forth. Arizona's Gov wants more border police/guards (I cant think of what they are actually called).
